Re: Asus p5k deluxe/wifi cost issues
How about getting the P5K-E Wifi instead of the deluxe?
This table lists the differences between them, and there doesn't seem to be much. Don't know if the bios options differ though. http://support.asus.com/faq/faq.aspx...Language=en-us |

Re: Asus p5k deluxe/wifi cost issues
And ditch the 32 bit vista, especially if you still have XP.
Ditch the Corsair RAM cooler and use an 80mm fan. Ditch the IOSS thing - pointless. |

Re: Asus p5k deluxe/wifi cost issues
Your sepc is slightly confusing, for a 1.8GHZ processor dual core you wont need a tuniq tower unless you looking at crazy overclocking.
Bios options are almost the same if not exactly the same. The P5K-E costs 30 quid less?! Very good for overclocking aswell!! PSU you need to get at least a 500W, Corsair HX520W would do. It will cost 8-9£ more though. Not sure that you need components such as Ioss RD7 System aftercooler (allows system cooling after shutdown) + WOL Cable and Corsair RAM cooler (crazy 8) and Akasa Cable management Kit, Spiral Wrap, Cable Ties, Cable Clamp. Dont know how much each costs but these could be given a miss to save some more money. Look at my SPEC it cost me £789 inc VAT & DEL. Re: Asus p5k deluxe/wifi cost issues
You could get a different case and save money - zen akasa £28 comes to mind, you don't need a Tuniq Tower, you could use an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro £15 and you could can upgrade the E4300 to E4400. That's a start.
