    Ram Timings

    As you probably can see from my previously threads, I can a complete and utter newb when it comes to hardware ^^

    I just ran CPU-Z and it says that my ram timings are 5-5-5-18.. But my Ballistic PC6400 should have timings of 5-5-5-12 ? Or am I wrong ? If this is right, is it just as easy to just go in the BIOS and change the timings manually, or do I need to change the voltage settings somewhere/how ?

    And these timings, what effect do they really have ? Will I notice any difference ?

    Setup ;

    E6850 3ghz
    2gb ram ballistic 6400
    8800 gts MSI OC
    Asus p5k

    Re: Ram Timings

    Timings won't make much difference, but you can go into BIOS and change them to 4-4-4-12 which are the rated timings for that memory. You'll need to set the voltage to 2.2v as well.
