The Unoffical Hexus Fastest Folder Competition
Whats the competition?
Well as some of you may be aware we have a Hexus Folding at Home team over in the distributed processing forum (HERE) But having followed Clunk's Overclocking guide for beginners, I've realised a LOT of you out there really aren't testing how well you've got your system overclocked. So this is a challenge set down to all of you overclocking people, Who out there can fold an SMP unit fastest. This is a SINGLE SMP unit, and i'll suggest we have 3 categories. 1. Dual Core CPU's 2. Quad Core CPU's 3. Special systems... (anything out of the ordinary) So How do I compete? First things first, lets get you following the starting instructions here... For any results to count they of course need to be counted for Hexus's team. All i ask is that when you've got a work unit to challenge the leading times you PM me the log of the Work Unit, I'll add all the times and your usernames to a list and we can see which of you has the fastest overclocked system. A bit of History for you This isn't the first time we've had a bit of a competition, some of you may remember the great interest and prestige we had with a SuperPI to a million places competition, and the slightly surreal slowest computer to run superPI to a million places. Last but not least This is all unofficial. I can't see anyone minding but i'm hoping a fair few of you will take up the challenge. All the best in your attempts TiG

Re: The Unoffical Hexus Fastest Folder Competition
Oooh, I'd be keen on this...I'll do one with my CPU at stock, and one with an overclock I know is stable (~3.2Ghz on an E6750, I'm sure it'll go higher but I'm not going to test anything higher just for a folding competition!
