Thoughts on best wireless mouse for gaming
Hello all,
I managed (somehow - I dont know what she was reading!!!) to get a Razer Exact Mat mouse pad as one of my Christmas pressies and have decided to get a new mouse to go with it. I use the rig mainly for playing games, but not seriously that I have a wired gaming mouse. I would still like to have the neatness of a wireless mouse so that seems to rule out Razer, Habu or G5/9 suggestions. What else is there that I can really get??? I seem to think that logitech are pretty decent, but the MX revolution looks a bit too much, I was thinking the VX revolution, which is a bit simpler but that a notebook mouse - and there are no dimensions that i can find... Any other decent suggestions, or opinions on the VX? |

Re: Thoughts on best wireless mouse for gaming
The VX is just a portable mouse really, not for gaming especially.
The only wireless gaming mouse I can think of is the Logitech G7 which is fairly rare these days. Same as a G5 but wireless. That said, wireless mice never work quite as well for gaming. There is that very slight delay in operation that normally throws my game off terribly. I would have one for gaming and one for general use if you want to keep things tidy. The VX nano is an awesome mouse but it's fairly little I would say the Revolution was better for normal use. |

Re: Thoughts on best wireless mouse for gaming
Cheers Mike, will take those comments onboard. Not really looking for a pro gaming mouse especially, and I mentioned the VX revolution as the MX version (the full desktop version) is a bit OTT in styling for my liking.
Might try to get to PC world to see if I can just hold a couple of mice, to see which one suits my hand size best. Another one that I've seen in reviews is the Logitech 620 - they all seem pretty similar. And I know everyone goes on about the lag in gaming with wireless but (IMO) I havent noticed it - and I use a generic MS wireless mouse. Its not to say that its not there, just that I dont notice it. Maybe its more noticable if you play online against other people - I'm not really into the whole online gaming thing myself and just like a good FPS narrative to play through - hence why i havent stated the need for 2000dpi or something silly - I'd never be able to hit a damn thing ![]() Thanks for the help again JP |

I use a G7 and its nice. I use it for all kinds of gaming and have never noticed any response time issues or anything, probably just my reactions are shot.

Re: Thoughts on best wireless mouse for gaming
Went and got a revolution and a logitech 620, and they are going right back... G7 seems like a good option too, but I'm trying to find the black/carbon one somewhere for a decent price. £60 is a bit over what I wanted to spent to be honest, but there doesnt seem to be any other decent alternatives for wireless.
I may have to plump for a wired one maybe, the Habu has got my eye, and its design doesnt seem too OTT, and can be had for about £35... If only i could find somewhere to try the damn thing out. Who would have thought this would be so difficult to do...
