    DVI to DVI Cable?

Sorry for all the threads lately, this is my final question.

Basically I want to get the best picture quality I can with my 9600GT (Dual DVI) and 22inch TFT widescreen (DVI) when it ships.

I heard that Mesh do not ship DVI cables as standard and VGA only (I think?)

I won't pretend to know alot about this, but is this what I am after to get the best picture?

    Thanks again, as ever.

HERE on scan and if you can make the order up to £20 you can have free delivery

but because DVI cables are digital, you won't see a performance increase by buying a super expensive cable (not that you had linked to a super expensive cable ), seeing as though the data either gets to it's destination or it doesn't...

but yes that cable that you linked to will be fine

Wow cool, thanks for that awesome Scan link!

So it is worth getting DVI over the standard (VGA it is right) that'll ship with the PC?

If it is, I'll deffo be willing to pay a fiver (with shipping) for such a cable!!

DVI is better than VGA as the signal is better since digital is just 1 or 0 and no exact value

I purchased one from ebay initially. However, it gave poor quality pics so I got the Scan one as listed by TAKTAK> This is an excellent cable made solidly.

Also, CCLonline have a cheap cable for £3.53 delivered (HERE). Not sure of the quality though.

    Re: DVI to DVI Cable?

That looks cool, but sadly it's single link only. I'll probably go for the Ebuyer one or the Scan one.

    It's 100% dual link DVI-D I am after right?

    You don't need dual link with a 22" monitor (assuming it's 1680x1050).

Why's this then? Dual links are easier to get hold of now/as cheap.

Technically you don't 'need' a dual link cable, that's all I'm trying to put across, single link, dual link, both will do fine.

I think they theoretically allow for higher data transfer speeds and/or higher resolutions.
