    Monitor Goes Bang Advice Required

I have just upgrade my graphics card and its only been in there a couple of weeks and my monitor gives up. Can anyone please suggest a monitor:

CRT (Don't believe Flat panel are cheap enough yet)
    17" - 19"
    Mainly Used for gaming
    Budget £100 - £200

I would apreciate any advice as sites don't seem to review monitors except if they are plasama or LCD.

Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 19'' Perfectly Flat CRT Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-004-HY) was the one I opted for, £165.00. Certainly got no complaints!

I got mine from overclockers.co.uk a while back, and it fits in nicely with the rest of my kit. Much silveryness.

Well you have to be careful because all that calming silver and black will help put you to sleep.

I know that would be the case normally, but heck, I work at an accountancy practice at the mo, so I "sleep" 9-5 in any case. But seriously, for the money, I would say the Hyundai 19" is a solid bet, especially seeing that its 17" sibling is not that much cheaper and the 19" has that bit more resolution should you require it.

Sounds good in fact I had already looked at that one on the overclockers site (probably one of the most visually friendly shopping sites) I think that is the one I will go for although I am also considering the 17" just because of the smaller footprint. My desk is coverred with so much rubbish I could do with saving space.

    Thanks for the advice.

1600 X 1200 @ 75hz - that refresh rate seems a bit low - do you guys run it a this and does it seem ok? cos i find that anything less than 85hz at that res is well flickery!
I'm sure its a good monitor but i would recommend somrthing with a trinitron tube ?

On a 17" Monitor 75Hz at a decent res is quite acceptable, bought my sister a black NEC 17" Monitor a whiles back, really nice image at 75Hz.

I took a look around for CRT Monitors, there don't seem to be so many on offer just lately, are TFT really getting that popular? I was going to suggest Iiyama, but they're a bit expensive.

The Hyundai Image Quest, for the money, looks like an excellent choice.
