| Monitor Goes Bang Advice Required I have just upgrade my graphics card and its only been in there a couple of weeks and my monitor gives up. Can anyone please suggest a monitor: CRT (Don't believe Flat panel are cheap enough yet) 17" - 19" Mainly Used for gaming Budget £100 - £200 I would apreciate any advice as sites don't seem to review monitors except if they are plasama or LCD. |

| Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 19'' Perfectly Flat CRT Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-004-HY) was the one I opted for, £165.00. Certainly got no complaints! | I know that would be the case normally, but heck, I work at an accountancy practice at the mo, so I "sleep" 9-5 in any case. But seriously, for the money, I would say the Hyundai 19" is a solid bet, especially seeing that its 17" sibling is not that much cheaper and the 19" has that bit more resolution should you require it. | Sounds good in fact I had already looked at that one on the overclockers site (probably one of the most visually friendly shopping sites) I think that is the one I will go for although I am also considering the 17" just because of the smaller footprint. My desk is coverred with so much rubbish I could do with saving space. Thanks for the advice. |

| 1600 X 1200 @ 75hz - that refresh rate seems a bit low - do you guys run it a this and does it seem ok? cos i find that anything less than 85hz at that res is well flickery! I'm sure its a good monitor but i would recommend somrthing with a trinitron tube ? | On a 17" Monitor 75Hz at a decent res is quite acceptable, bought my sister a black NEC 17" Monitor a whiles back, really nice image at 75Hz. I took a look around for CRT Monitors, there don't seem to be so many on offer just lately, are TFT really getting that popular? I was going to suggest Iiyama, but they're a bit expensive. The Hyundai Image Quest, for the money, looks like an excellent choice. |
