well im new to pc gaming so i dont know much about any processors, video card etc, so as much help as possible would be helpful
Processor
Motherboard
RAM
PSU
GFX Card
Hard Drive
DVD-Drive
Case
Monitor
Total price @ time of writing = £741.63 [without monitor]
Obviosuly this is below your £800 budget and you would be able to swap in some more powerful components, hopefully these will give you a run down of what can be achieved - however these parts will be able to run Crysis on Very High at 1680*1050 res
Edit: I missed that you needed a monitor (embarassed) what size are you after ? You can pick up 22" close to £100. You could swap the hard drive out for a smaller capacity and maybe use 3GB of RAM instead of 6GB to free up some more pennies, in addition to this you could also get a cheaper case. Have a look around as prices vary daily.

Including the postage at Scan and using the free postage at Ebuyer the total should come to just under £800. I would use Windows 7 RC1 as the OS until early next year when you will have to pay for a retail copy. This setup will be fine at the native resolution of the monitor which is 1920x1080.
Here is a review of the CPU:

Here are some reviews of the graphics card:

The cheapest GTX275 on Scan is currently around £175.
You should also check the Today Only webpage on the Scan website for daily offers and you will be eligible for free postage on Scan after 20 posts on Hexus.
