    Gaming Peripherals??

    Hey Guys,

I've just finished building my new gaming rig and now I'm at the point of picking up some good gaming peripherals. In the past I've had a Reaper gaming mouse, Z-Board Keyboard and Sennheiser Headset and I found them reasonable to use at the time but they are now far past their best. I'm looking to replace all of them to give me a fresh up-to-date set of peripherals to go with my new rig. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on what I should look at and consider?

    Thanks a lot,
    /Rookie

Oh and I mainly play MMO's and FPS so peripheral geared toward that would be best suited.

    Re: Gaming Peripherals??

I use a logitech MX518 gaming mouse - love it, just bought a 2nd one for my new machine.

Keyboard, most things do fine. I got a budget saitek one off ebuyer in 2006. It's still going strong and has just the right key-weighting for my taste.

Headset - my old one just broke and am still looking. Let me know if you find anything good.

Joystick Logitech Extreme 3D Pro - rudder action and many many buttons. All round win.

    Re: Gaming Peripherals??

I use the coolermaster sentinel mouse which I find brilliant, my headset is the Corsair HS1A which is incredibly comfortable and very high quality, and the Logitech G110 keyboard which is weird to begin with due to the keys being offset to the right slightly by the macro keys but I got used to it after a day, plus you can change the backlight, you have 3 presets with 18 programmable keys and the keyboard feels very sturdy.

    Re: Gaming Peripherals??

Keyboard wise, as the gaming rig is also used for work, I just use a Microsoft Ergonomic Natural 4000 (not a gaming keyboard by any stretch of the imagination, I do have a MS X4 too when I am gaming for hours on end)

As for the mouse I use a Logitech G9x, love the mouse, not cheap but easily one of the best mice I have used in my 15+ years of PC gaming.

Same as above my headset is the Corsair HS1A which was on offer one weekend with Overclockers UK. Great gaming headset, when I am not gaming though I will use a set of Sennheiser HD280 Pro's for video/music etc.
