Spot the problem with this fanless PSU

    http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1745.html

In addition to the obvious oversight there is one other major problem... PRICE!!

I hope nobody is going to pay silly prices for any of the new fanless PSU's. Strikes me that the manufactureres are going to be milking the whole fanless thing for every penny you own and this model is a joke surely.

maybe its for effect only, kinda like giving the owner a feeling of security by seeing a fan there, although for 200 quid i would expect the thing to be able to make me a cup of tea and bring me a sandwhich too

These are the exceptional characteristics of this unique proSilence® FANLESS power supply. The emerging heat is transported over a heat transporting system from the massive internal heat sink to the heat sink mounted on the outside.

The power supply is equipped with one silent PAPST fan, which can be run in three different modes.
Hmmm... FANLESS means FANLESS in my book, this isnt FANLESS.

Customers who bought this product, also bought...

    holy mother of god

200 quid for a PSU unit, I'll think I'll pass on that one.

I for one do not care about my PC being a little noisy - I just adjust the volume on my megaworks speakers and enjoy that instead

Following modes are supported by this power supply :

Mode 1: switch on unit in up position
    conventional temperature control

Mode 2: switch on unit in the mid position
    fan is deactivated

Mode 3: switch in down position
    progressive temperature control
when the temperature reaches 64 degrees Celsius, the fan starts running automatically and it turns of by itself, when reaching the temperature of 45 degrees Celsius. In case, the power supply reaches again 64 degrees Celsius, the same procedure repeats itself.
It is 'fanless' when the fan is deactivated

    look at the bigger picture:

    no fans = fanless
    fans = with fan

Customers who bought this product, also suffered from...
having more money then sense and uber acute hearing. These same people may also find their wallet spontainiously explodes due to the sheer qty of money trying to be held within it.

Flash has it right about the fan/fanless thing though: just cause its not on doesnt mean it isnt there.

I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!
