dual channel ram problem please help! :-) i have 1gb of Kingston hyperX (2x512) and when I use it as dual channel ddr my computer randomly restarts itself, normally after about 3-5 mins, it must be a dual channel problem cos everything run fine when is in DIMM 1 and 2. i’ve checked that the ram is dual channel compatible. i doubt its restarting because of overheating as my case has plenty of cooling. anyone got any ideas on what cud be wrong, be a great help thx :-D

More system information needed, particularily, which motherboard! If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

You might also want to run Memtest. Try running it with the RAM in DIMMs 1 and 2. If that produces no errors, then try it with the RAM in dual channel. "Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
