| DVD sound problems Good afternoon. I have been trying to fix a computer for a friend, but this problem has got me stumped. The DVD reads fine, and plays fine. But once you navigate through the menu (i.e. click "Play movie") and the Dolby digital advert (with the helicopter) has finished (with the volume still fine) the film is starting the volume goes really low. Barely audible at full volume - when before this has been too loud. I checked with a 3 DVD's, and various DVD players; wmp10, wmp-classic, power DVD, and actual DVD player - but the same thing happens everytime. I cant for the life of me work out what it is. I have checked all the drivers, none seem to have errors, and the volume controls in windows are all the way up. Does anyone have any idea what could be causes this lost of sound when the film actually starts playing? Any help is much appreciated.
