| Administrator | If you want to benchmark it , why not use somethign like SiSoft Sandra ( you can download a free evaluation copy ) for testing the memory , google for memtest . to stressing the CPU , use something like SETI/ UD / any other DC bit of software and measure temperatures , using MBM 5(motherboard Monitor ). Specifically which bits are you wanting to troubleshoot ? |

| Sandra and Aida give conflicting reports on occasion.Got mbm, Will try seti some time,I first want to clear up some confusion about the CPU. I bought a Amd 2600+ XP with a 333FSB as stated on the CPU box. However acording to CBId my chip is a AXDA2600DKV3C which means that the FSB is266. AIDA doesn't give any details but says the FSB is 333.Being a begin to this world of Comps, I am confused and short of uninstalling the CPU and re installing it seems one of the bench mark prog will be able to re assure me. Let me try Linpack java and I will post again. Thanks guys. Vijay |

| Administrator | have you had a look at this ? http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php this should also report correct stepping on your chip. Also you might want to check the full code on the chip istelf. |
