    Memory upgrade help needed.

    Hi!

ok well world of warcraft seems to be eating my 512 memory alive and leaving me standing there while i get chomped to death by horde so ive decided to upgrade... now for the questions.

im using a EPOX EP-8RDA+, and that supports dual memory kits right?

So i was thinking of getting something like...
OCZ Platinum EL Dual Channel Kit 2x512MB PC3200 CL 2-3-2-5

Something along those lines... 2x512, PC3200, 333/400MHz. Since my board should support upto that. Would that kinda kit be ok for the board? or is it alittle "too" much for it to handle.

Also, the manual isnt exactly very clear on what slots dual memory are supposed to go in, so alittle help there too would be much appreicated! like it says #1 and #2or#3 if your using 128 bit or #2 and #3 if using 64 bit... well thats confusing to start off with since i cant see anything to switch between the 2.

Aight, appreciate the help cause dont want to order this stuff, then it not run and then be using overly expensive paper weights

    k just a quick update

I decided to get 1Gb OCZ EL DDR PC3200 Gold Series Dual Channel kit from that site, might i add first time i bought from there and they were very helpful and arrived in 2 days!

I followed this report from the OCZ site, 8RDA+ testing and went with the 2-2-2-6, 200Mhz.

Plugged um in, altered the VDIMM to 2.9v (it was 2.77v or 2.9v so went with the latter to fully cover the 2.8v needed) altered the timings to 2-2-2-6, saved and exited... ran smoothly straight away!

CPU-Z for those that are interested

Very happy just hope it gives me the boost i need in WoW.

Don't forget that AXPs don't run CAS at 2.0 very well.. you're actually looking at 2.5-3-2-5 (not that it makes any major difference)

    My XPS 16 = fail

Good that it RATs into my lab's 1024 node cluster..
