| nforce3 and dual channel memory Hi, I have an Nforce3 (neo2 msi) with 2x 512MB pc3200 dimms. I'm wondering if I was to add another 1gig dimm, would the memory controller on the cpu be able to run that as dual channel still? Anyone tried this? Cheers |

| 4x512MB will run fine as long as u leave it on a divider (a very loose one) and run 2T.. ur cpu for some reason will run a tad hotter.. I dun know, at least mine did.. probably its just chronic paranoia. If u leave it at that speed, Im guessing it'll feel wierd once in a while.. like it'll just halt and not return for 10 sec.. I get that probably once a week after I got my 2nd pair of microns.. My XPS 16 = fail Good that it RATs into my lab's 1024 node cluster.. |
