    nforce3 and dual channel memory

    Hi,

I have an Nforce3 (neo2 msi) with 2x 512MB pc3200 dimms. I'm wondering if I was to add another 1gig dimm, would the memory controller on the cpu be able to run that as dual channel still?

    Anyone tried this?

    Cheers

4x512MB will run fine as long as u leave it on a divider (a very loose one) and run 2T.. ur cpu for some reason will run a tad hotter.. I dun know, at least mine did.. probably its just chronic paranoia.

If u leave it at that speed, Im guessing it'll feel wierd once in a while.. like it'll just halt and not return for 10 sec.. I get that probably once a week after I got my 2nd pair of microns..

    My XPS 16 = fail

Good that it RATs into my lab's 1024 node cluster..
