    front usb setup.

    got a new abit-nf7 mobo and a new case but cant figue out how to set up the front usb,mic and headphones. all i got is about 10 little wire ends that are meant to connect to somewhere , but where ... . only god himself knows (hopefully 1 of u r actually god and can tell meh please lol )

    end cables read : 1. ground , l-out, l-ret, r-out, r-ret
    2. ground, mic-in, mic-power
    3. (1)ground, (1) vcc, (1)+d, (1) -d
    4. same as 3. but (2) instead.

    got a little information sheet. . . .

    (1) and (2)vcc = usb power
    (1) and (2) +d = usb positive signal
    (1) and (2) -d = usb negative signal
    (1) and (2) ground = usb ground

    mic-in = mic input signal
    mic-power = mic power
    l-out and r-out = left and right audio signal
    l-ret and r-ret = rear left and right audio signal
    ground = audio ground.

    please help , ta for imput

    Cole.

    You should have headers on the motherboard and the manual showing where these are located on the motherboard too.

    there should also be headers for the mic and headphones, they have header for the audio out and headser for audio in, so that the audio goes back into the board and to your audio out ports at the back, you will probably have to take some jumpers off the connectors before sticking the leads on. I assume your board has the connectors, my MSI nforce2 board did, but the Abit isn't as good a board so i'm not sure
