Asus P5W DH Deluxe & GeForce 8800GTX ??

Hi,

I was wondering if this combination (Asus P5W DH Deluxe & GeForce 8800GTX) would work as Im almost at the buy button for this combo, but as the Asus P5W supports crossfire I'm assuming it'll have compatibility issues, due to the 8800GTX being nivida based???

Would the P5W64 WS PRO be a better option?

Im looking at using an E6400 and Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400.

the p5w is an inter chipset based so there will be no compatibility issue but i would recommend a 1950xtx atm tbh as there is little point with a dx10 card at the moment. i know i'm holding off upgrading until vista is worth it

Many thanks. The only reason im going straight for the dx10 card is so i wont have to upgrade anytime soon on that front. I usually build a decent rig and leave it work for 2 years max, and then upgrade again.

and then im stuck on which HD to get

Western Digital Caviar 250GB S300 16mb 7200rpm
Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 250GB S300

-each are around £50, and both are very similar, however the hitachi was recommended but WD have a great customer review rate?
