    Anyone recommend a good wine....

....to go with Duck Breast on a Bed of Colcannon with a Confit of Cranberries .

I'm not much of a wine buff, but am cooking this for a young lady tomorrow and need a suggestion!

    Cheers for any help!

I dunno whether this is the right choice but I like a nice glass of Chateauneuf du Pape when having duck.

I also recommend a nice Burgundian pinot noir, or a nice rioja as these should complement the earthy, gamey flavour of the duck quite well.

    Good luck mate

Was in a bit of a rush, but managed to find a nice Pinot Noir that went extremely well.

    Cheers mate!

Try Hardy's Crest 2003 Cabernet Shiraz or Canti Merlot Sangiovese.

    Not a problem.

Glad the wine was good. Ain't it suprising what information your brain retains when you don't want it too
