Pies
Now i as a proper notherner i like pies, problem is my dad has a habbit of buying them "fresh" from Morrisons or Tesco where they have a little pie stand and most are foul, Are there any good "brand" pies?
And as a further question are Fray Bentos pies really pies? |

Re: Pies
Nah. Brand pies are like Brand women. All fatty and no-one wants to eat them unless they've drunk far too much.
But "Oop North" there are bakers who produce the gods of pies. Why on earth buy one from Morrisons when you could get one from Trisha Dixon's dad? |

Re: Pies
Yes Pieminister are great
Pure Pie seen at Paddington and London Bridge train stations. £4 hot but can also ask for frozen at £2.50. Steak, ale & horseradish is my fav. Square Pie Some Sainsbury's have a brand called "Higgledey Pie" and they are easily the best brand pie I've had in the UK. They have three flavours: Steak, ale (best) Feta & spinach (great for a pie with no meat) Lamb & something There's a couple of pie type stalls in Borough Market Last but not least, the famous Top UK Pubs - Sweeney & Todd, Reading |

Re: Pies
I love Pieminister pies, I was so happy when they opened a branch in Oxford but there's something about their gravy that I really don't like much.
