    Sorry but since they moved from brewing it in Manchester it just hasn't tasted the same.

    Must be the change of water used or something related to it.

    have you tried the brown can, non-widget?

    It's totally different to the yellow fizzy ones.

    Though you're prolly right. Black Sheep changed their brewery setup 3 years ago and it's not the same anymore.....

    It's probably all the gunk in the pipes that has built up over the years that changes the flavour when they move breweries

    Yup, its amazing what a change of water does, my local has its own micro and its amazing the differences between week to week using the same recipe.

    They haven't change the method of brewing - they've extended the brewery, so you've probably had some ale from the new bit...

    Speaking about different tasting beer, why is it the 578 ml cans for Stella Artois taste better than the normal "500 ml" versions.

    Both say "brewed in the UK" on the side, but I swear to god I prefer the bigger cans as they taste better.

    Never drink canned beer. Bottled is tops IMHO, better than most draught.

    You mean there are Glaswegians who drink something other than Super T and Bucky?

    <hides>

    I've never thought much of Boddingtons one way or the other. Should I give it serious consideration?

    I still mourn the passing of the Tetleys Cask in my local though; £1.25 a pint they used to charge (in 2002/3 admittedly) and it was fantastic.

    got to agree on the Tetleys Cask, a nice pint and was always cheap. Now its just smoothflow crap in most places
