What's your perfect bacon & egg sandwich...?
The resurected egg thread made me think of this... possibly the perfect bacon and egg sandwich?
Cut two rashers of good back bacon down into small chunks and start to fry them off. Once the bacon is just cooked add two eggs to the frying pan and mix well enough to break up the eggs so that the white and yolk are just starting to mix and the bacon is well coated in egg. As you're mixing quickly add salt, pepper and spices to taste. I often put a pinch of five spice or paprika in it. Serve between two big slices of white bread with plenty on ketchup and brown sauce. |

so long as it's on white bread and you put brown sauce on it then it doesn't matter what you do to the eggs or bacon!

Re: What's your perfect bacon & egg sandwich...?
Two rashers of grilled middle bacon, with the all-important rind still on, and a fried egg plonked on top, yolk still soft. This is in a modest section of soft and crusty toger loaf bread.
Oh yes. *rubs stomach.* |

Fry bacon until slightly crispy, place between two buttered slices of white bread, add ketchup sparingly. Eat.

Re: What's your perfect bacon & egg sandwich...?
Grill smoked back bacon (3-4 rashers for a large barm). Place in lightly buttered barm. Dash of Worcester sauce. Politely hand back egg.

Re: What's your perfect bacon & egg sandwich...?
Piece of crusty white buttered baguette, thickly sliced bacon (grilled 'til crispy and enough to give a couple of layers), fried egg or two (solf yolk so it burst and soaks into the bread), lots of freshly ground black pepper (no salt as the bacon makes up for that) and a healthy squirt of HP sauce
![]() However, for the ultimate, add a thick quality pork sausage (grilled then sliced lengthways) but you might need two) and some proper hog's pudding (again grilled - don't want it to be unhealthy for a snack!). Oh and a cloth to mop up the drool ![]() |
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

Re: What's your perfect bacon & egg sandwich...?
Take egg and dispose of safely in bin. Cook four bits of bacon along with two potato scones.
Place bottom half of roll on nice firm surface. Place two bits of bacon on roll along with some HP sauce. Add on potato scone. More HP. Other two bits of bacon. More HP. Last potato scone. More HP. Top of roll. Flatten slightly. Eat. Yummy! |

Re: What's your perfect bacon & egg sandwich...?
Three bits of non-salted/smoked bacon, grilled until the rind goes crispy, two fried eggs, two organic, 80% meat sausages, cut lengthwise.
All in a bit of French stick (not too crispy, side-of-the-mouth-bread-cuts hurt) cut from the middle of the stick buttered and covered in Daddies sauce. |
