    Nachos

Has anyone got a really good nachos recipe? Whenever I make them, the cheese ends up sticking together too much, and I end up with a massive blob of once-melted cheese. Any ideas on how to make the cheese like a really thick cheese sauce?

    Cheers

    Re: Nachos

Personally I make Nachos as follows

Get a lasagne dish (about 6" x 8" is ideal)

    1) Layer with nachos (or Lightly Salted Dortios)
    2) Add a layed of salsa
    3) Add a light sprinkling of grated cheese (hard cheddar or blue cheese is really nice)
    4) Add a layer of nachos
    5) Add a layer of jalepenoes
    6) Add a layer of salsa
    7) Top with grated cheese. To stop the sticking effect, make sure the jalepenoes act as a bridge between the areas of cheese.

I fold for Hexus, do you?

I would add some sour cream to the salsa layers, and some guacamole* to the jalapeño layer

    * wow, i actually guessed how to spell that right!

Personally I keep them in pots on the side and spoon some extra on as you go through the layers, because I like both the cream and the guacamole to be cold

    Fair point.

Refried beans also go on the side, or in a big pile in the corner of the dish.

You know, I'm begining to think we're the only people who actually eat nachos? Or does everyone else simply by them from the Cinema

My GF bought me some of this once at the cinema, was nasty! the sauce was runny, and over loaded. I couldn't believe it was cheese?

Am I the only one who prefers to stick with salsa and jalapeño without the cheese?
