    Black Forest Gateau

Okay, so it's my birthday tomorrow and a friend of mine who's a good cook said, "Pick any meal you like, I'll have a go at making it, and we can have a nice big family dinner."

    Bonus for me!

Well I couldn't come up with any particular meal I was craving so I said either a roast chicken or roast beef dinner please - since I love them.

Then it came to me, I absolutely love Black Forest Gateau(x) and haven't had it in ages. So I sais that if she fancied a challenge, she could try one of those, not that I'd be upset if she couldn't since it was a bit last minute (last night, and the dinner is tomorrow). Of course she's a bit wonderful, so she said she would.

The problem is though, I'm living in America right now, and at least here on the West it appears no-one has a clue what BFG is. I pulled some recipes and descriptions online, but then ti occurred to me that you wonderful people might have the best recipes of all.

So there you - make a man happy - lend us your recipe!
