    A well chuffed dad!!!!

    Hi all

My son, Steven, is in the final of the National Junior Chef of the Year competition 2005

Its going to be held at Thanet college in June and be judged by Gary Rhodes. He's going to be making this:

Lemon scented supreme of chicken, served on a tiger prawn and sweetcorn galette, accompanied by citrus sauce, asparagus parcel and fondent potatoes.

Flamed rhubarb and gingerbread torte presented with a cone of cantaloupe melon, drizzled with rhubarb and melon syrup, finished with a dollop of clotted cream.

Keep your fingers crossed for him!

I'll keep you all informed on how he gets on, and post the recepies when I can coax them out of him

I was thinking exactly the same thing as I was reading that, I could eat that for breakfast, instead.. I'll do what I normally do and eat nothing

    Congrats to your son!

Best of luck to him, the meal sounds fab!

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

    Does he cook for you?

    Nick will be impressed...

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Tell him to tell Gazza I said to get his bloody haircut!

Good luck to the lad... make sure he writes a work plan and sticks to it!

Make him practise the dishes over and over and over again... and then over and over and over again... and then over and over and over again...
