Melton Mowbray Pies: the Tradition
Hi Hotpotters
![]() I need your help: Can anyone find the History of Melton Mowbray pies being easten on Boxing day? I am sure the history of these classic British foods is that they are eaten for BREAKFAST on Boxing day, but I cant find proof. Can you guys un-earth anything? Cheers ![]() PS: Sainsbury's make the best mass produced ones. AVOID Tesco's ...they;re horrible and pink inside. |

I only really like the pastry on a pork pie, yummm i love how it's all crumbly, i'll very often eat the pastry and leave the pork bit, doesn't go to waste, either Jon or the Dog will eat it
