Alternative hot drinks?
It's getting pretty cold, or maybe I'm just getting pretty old. Whatever the reason, I seem to enjoy hot drinks a whole lot more than I used to!
The trouble is, I don't like Coffee at all so I tend to drink Tea more often than not. I refrain from having too much cause I don't wanna get addicted to the stuff. As a result I've added some Hot Chocolate and Bournvita to my cabinet. Hot Chocolate is nice for a change once in a while and Bournvita is great before going to bed. I still feel there's a lot more variety out there though, so which other hot drinks would you recommend, except for coffee? |

Get some lemon juice, add a spoon of honey. Top up with hot water. Add a generous helping of whisky. Drink and enjoy!
You could also try getting yerba mate. You drink it in a similar way to tea, and it is quite good for you. Lots of nice vitamins, and not addictive.

diluting juice + hot water = yummy
Ribena is the best for this ![]() as for tea, how about herbal or fruit? Not such as fan of the herbal ones, but some of the fruit teas are nice. My favourite is Rooibos (also known as Red Bush), organic and caffiene free. Yummy too. Last edited by Funkstar; 21-12-2006 at 11:21 AM.. |

You can get caffiene free tea you know! (Typoo, tetleys and Yorkshire all do drinkable versions, yorkshire being my fave at the moment)
You won't get addicted to that! Otherwise I'm a great fan of hot ribena, mmm I don't like roodboy tea though... yuck! (Jasmine green tea is good, tastes like bubblegum - although not decaf!)

Too much tea and coffee will dehydrate you so be sure to drink some regular water aswel. My auntie likes to drink warm water but thats just strange
