buying my first printer
hiya. im looking for a printer. i will generally use it home. i have several criterias:
1. ill be mostly using it for printing out offline Word/Open Office documents, CVs and the occasional photos on a glossy paper (from a digital camera's memory stick or from my PC) and online emails and docu's. 2. must be picturebridge compatible and USB 2.0 3. not necessarily bluetooth but atleast an optional bluetooth adaptor 4. cheap and easy to replace (and reuse/refill) ink cartridge 5. can also scan at the same time 6. maximum budget of £100 now, would you recommend an "All-in-one" printer or a standard inkjet home printer? (coz i heard the latter has a higher dpi's) i need sugestions pls. Last edited by gino_76ph; 22-09-2007 at 08:43 AM. Reason: no replies |

Re: buying my first printer
What is your highest prority here?
If you want a multi functioin device, then that narrows things considerably. But if you are happy with a scanner and a printer, then thats really two questions and a whole lot of answers. Multi-function devices are generally not as good at doing everything as seperate devices would be. But then they are significantly cheaper than buying seperately anyway. And with a budget of £100, you are probably going to have to go for a multi-function to get everything you need at acceptable quality. Yes stand alone high end printers have higher resolutions that multi-function printers, but then they are also more expensive. Unless you are printing a lot of office documents every day, i wouldn't recomend a laser printer at all. |

Re: buying my first printer
I use this:
Currys - Shop for Printers All in One - LEXMARK P4350 Photo Printer, Scanner & Copier I wouldn't necessarily get it from Currys, but that was the cheapest ad on froogle. Does exactly what you're after. |
