    iPod advice

I'm after an iPod for the wife for Christmas.

2GB - 4GB would be ideal, but I didn't really want to spend more than £80-120. Is that a reasonable amount to pay?

I wondered if anyone knew the best place to look for a bargain, aside for Ebay.

Also, with an iPod, do you have to download songs from iTunes? Or can you put Mp3s on that you already have on your Harddrive?

And what's all this Touch, Nano, Shuffle business? And 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen? No idea which one to get.

I was pretty sure BigPockets had a few Nano and 5G's refurbs going for cheap about a week or so ago.

John lewis have the new Nano 8GiB for £109 using the £20 off voucher (TEL168CHG234) :

New Apple iPod Nano, 8GB, Black - John Lewis

You can put audio files straight off the hard drive.

Edit: Bah quick ninja edit and move to the appropriate forum eh . To be honest I reckon you should be able to pick up a 5G Nano or Video quite cheaply (<100) now since the new iPods are out, and as I said there should be some refurbs knocking around.

    Great spot, thanks for that.

Do you need to buy any accessories? Like a charger etc?

Well it comes with the usb cable for charging, so any usb port will do.

If you dont want to be bound to a pc you could otherwise pick up the official adaptor (which is quite expensive for what it is) or buy a usb plug adapter (a plug with a usb port on it) which plugs into the wall socket and can be used for lots of other usb charging devices.

Excellent, I've gone for this one. Seems a good deal for 8GB. Thanks a lot!

DOn't suppose you have another code, that one doesn't seem to work?
