Digital cordless phone - can anyone recommend?

I think it's time for me to move across to a pair or trio of digital cordless phones. The amount of times I hurt myself trying to get to the phone in time is beyond a joke.

Can anyone recommend a good quality, clear sounding phone, with caller ID? There seems so many on the market.

How much should I pay for a decent one?

Any DECT phone sounds clear thesedays - and i can't live without 'em. Try and get one with a headphone jack - you wouldn't believe how often it comes in handy wearing a small headset (so you can chat when cooking or using the pc). I've got some old NTL ones but they work ok (stunning, considering the branding) but it's pretty hard to go wrong.
Just don't get carried away with silly stuff like colour screens and 'fashion' phones which cost a fortune. Get 3 and get an base unit with an answerphone if you think you ever might need it (i've had mine for years and you're unlikely to replace them).

I actually bought the BT Studio 3100 Twin, the other handset doesn't work at all, so now I have to bring it back to the shop.

I think I'll look at something different now.
