    New Doctor Who

    Whats everyons views?

Catherine Tate really did my head in. Maybe She`ll get better but I have never been a fan of hers and her over acting at points of the episode just confirmed my opinion

just blew me away when you saw rose.

They said Billie Piper was only going to be in 3 episodes this series. I thought they meant properly and not for 5 seconds.

Rose at the end was a real shock. Lets give Catherine a chance.

why did they get rid of the other person? i really never understood why they wanted too get rid of her, did i miss something? because imo she was a good actor for the part. I didnt really like catherine but ill see how she is in later ones.

Martha (HOT) > Rose > Catherine Tate (though willing to give her a chance)

Gutted that Martha is gone - she was smart, capable, and hot as hell

    Re: New Doctor Who

It was "OK" but was very silly compared to the first 3 seasons..all because of Catherine Tate.

She just isn't suited to the part at all imo, although will have to see how things go, Billie wasn't great for a few episodes but was a pretty good sidekick by the end of the first season.

However Rose is due back for some "proper" episodes (just like Martha did in Torchwood) later in the season isn't she? Plus i'm sure I read that Martha was coming back...fingers crossed thats at the end of season and she's going to replace Catherine She worked really well in season 3 and i'm sure would be just as good again in season 4

All in all it was good TV, but rubbish Dr Who (whether your comparing to the original or to the first 3 seasons of the re-imagining).

martha is coming back for last half of season and there is supposed to be an episode where the doctor has rose, martha and donna with him.

xD that sounds funny. But didnt they get rid of martha just for the sake of it? because i remember it being in the paper a bit ago and she wanted too stay(am i right?) but they got rid of her, probably because of viewers? but surely it would of been great with her in it, she suited the role much more then the other 2.

I thought she (Catherine Tate) was simply rubbish. If the rest of the series is like the first episode, I'm not going to bother to watch tbh.

Haven't watched it yet, waiting for the other half to get back from her trip to her mum's but this really confirms my worst fears that Catherine Tate will ruin the show. She has to be THE worst person on UK TV, her entire career seems to be based on the fact she's as common as much and her innane routines are just attrocious...

    Re: New Doctor Who

She was no better in the second episode.

Just as annoying, just as over the top, still not remotely attractive, just as unsuitable for the part.

Frustrating as this weeks was a reasonably good storyline too, could have been so much better.

agreed, would of been much better with either of the previous actors. Tate cant act imo, its just poorly done with her going over the top and her voice going xD, bored me so much.

I might stop watching doctor who now, why did they let her do a whole series ??!!

I thought she showed some improvement when she was more serious but there was still a lot of over-acting by her. Good story though.

    Just watched it now.

THe episode was pretty good although I still get angry when she starts talking. although saying that towards the end she did seem a bit more tolerable when she wasnt doing a stupid character.

Good to see that the next episode is back in present day england again rofl.
