    PC Remote

Anyone know of a PC remote that works by RF (or even cable), as opposed to infra-red?

The Snapstream Firefly seems to fit the bill but it isn't available in the UK as far as I'm aware.

    I need RF as line-of-sight isn't possible.

Of course it's possible. Or was that comment just a spammy one to up your post count to get Scan free shipping?

How far away from being line of sight do you need it?

The MS MCE remote it good, you don't need to point it any where near the reciever for it to work. The reciever also has a really long USB cable to positioning it descreetly but in the open is pretty east. It's also a very good remote.

Patdee - thanks for that. I looked into bluetooth a while ago but the software I was interested in wouldn't work with my old Sony-Ericsson T610. However, I've now installed Salling Clicker and it works perfectly. I need RF because the PC is two walls away, connected to the TV using a 5m S-Video cable.

On Media Player Classic I have pause/ play/fast forward/rewind and zoom in/out, which is all I need. I can also use the phone as a basic mouse if necessary.

Might look at the MS MCE remote for future use.

Forgot to mention - it does volume up/down as well.

I'll look at other solutions such as ATI next time I upgrade.
