    8cm DVD convertors?

I've tried googling it, but I can't see any such convertor that converts 8cm DVDR to the standard 10cm size.

Basically I've bought a DVD camcorder, but it takes 8cm discs which I can't play on DVD players or PC.

Do I have any alternative apart from having to send it back and get a different one?

I use my Xbox 360 for DVD and it doesn't have the sunken part. I've just found out though that it should work in the PS2 drive.

    Thanks!

Perhaps Steven W has a slot loading one, and is worried about the 8cm DVD getting stuck in the mechanism.

I know that some slot loaders will cope just fine with 8cm discs. I know when the original blue iMac came out, we had one at work, and I tried an 8cm CD in it, and it coped just fine. The trouble is, you can't tell which player will cope, and you don't want to be taking them appart to un-jam them if they don't.

If I where Steven W, I would be buying a regular tray loading DVD recorder for my PC for £20 or so, and using it to copy the camcorder DVDs when necessary. If his usage of his camcorder is anthing like mine, he will be using less than one disc a month once the novelty has worn off

Perhaps it will house the 8cm discs then, I'm probably being stupid. It doesn't look like a conventional 12cm tray where you normally house small discs.

Best thing I can do is just buy some a give it a whirl.

I should be able to put them on memory stick, onto PC and copy to larger DVD I would have thought. Might have to buy some software for that though.

Oops. just realised my DVD tray in PC is a tray loading one, so I guess they'll just work in it anyhow.

It's just dawned on me. This is the most stupidest question I've ever asked, what was I thinking.
