| To Buy Or Not To Buy...a PC i rung a techsupport company to have my PC checked as the fan is too noisy and once it just turned-off by itself. i was told that it might take up to 7 days before i get my CPU back. my questions are: 1. is there a company that "loans" or lends laptop PC's? 2. is it better to buy a new one? (as i will be relocating to Canada in a few months time and my original plan was to bring my laptop there) 3. which laptops can you recommend in terms of after sales support, worlwide warranty, durability, quietness, etc. |

| Re: To Buy Or Not To Buy...a PC 1) Quite probably, though with laptops being so cheap it'd be tough to see how it would work out worthwhile. 2) See above. It's easy enough to get a power supply cable that works in Canada. 3) Dell and Lenovo (formerly IBM) are the ones I see most commonly used for worldwide business. Both very durable and well rated for support. |

| Re: To Buy Or Not To Buy...a PC i will be mainly using my laptop PC for home use and not for business. built-in Wi-Fi, bluetooth, able to burn pics onto a DVD are some of my features in mind. would you also consider a Samsung or Asus laptop? |

If it's for home use then you probably don't need it to be as durable though, so you can consider all options (check out the portables section of hexus.hardware). |
