    Problem with my Shure SE210's

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shure-Se210-...ef=pd_sim_ce_6

Well i've got them headphones about 5 months or so now. The problem is that they come with an extension lead that attaches to your mp3 player. I should make it known now that you can't use the headphones without an extension lead!

Now my headphnoes are starting to cut out when the lead moves near the connector which goes into your mp3 player. I think its a known problem with there other headphones.

Is this covered by their warranty and its through no fault of my own? Is there anywhere you can just send the lead or am I going to have to send the whole lot back under warranty and do without for about 4 weeks?!

    Many thanks

    Mark

Re: Problem with my Shure SE210's

I've sadly had to use their RMA service a few times, but on the positive side it is honestly the best RMA service I've ever used. They are excellent. 4 day turnaround is normal for me. Post Monday, new arrive on Thursday.

These are SE530's though in my case.

    Best bet is:

    Phone them - 01992 703 058
Every time I've phoned them it's been answered quickly by a real person, which was a surprise.

Ask for the Service Department for an RMA

Explain the problem to them - chances are you will get an RMA number, they'll want a copy of proof of purchase and some info off the headphones themselves. I used a copy of the order confirmation email as the proof.

If you get an RMA number - send whatever they request to:

    Shure Distribution UK
    Unit 2
    The IO Centre
    Lea Road
    Waltham Abbey
    EN9 1AS

Stick the RMA number on the front and a copy of the proof of purchase or the email you may get with

Send by special delivery - best way with the Royal Fail being as useless as they are.

    Await a few days

    Receive new package

    ...

    Profit!

Re: Problem with my Shure SE210's

    You're welcome.

Sadly, I dumped a load of the spare extra pieces I had from getting new sets from Shure, otherwise I could have sent you one of the long leads.

I'll have a rummage and see if I still have one though. I'm on my 4th or 5th *I think* set of SE530's and every time I've sent them back I've only sent the headphones, but have received a complete new metal boxed set in return - I have enough earbuds to last me for the next few years.

Just spotted that you are in NI. Hmmm. May take a couple of extra days to get to you from Shure.

I reckon it should still be a week tops to get the new bits to you. As it's only the cable, they may even just send one to you without wanting the original back.

I've always had the earpieces themselves fail for me so I've never had to get any accessories from them.
