Warhammer online? i think thats the one you are talking about. It is made by EA Mythic and looks damn good. I hope it fulfills its potential as a WOW rival

Naa he's talking about the Warhammer 40k one not the Fantasy one.
http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6166560.html?sid=6166560 is the only new article, i've seen recently. Don't expect anything shortly tho. TiG

Yeah, that's the article i saw.
I just wondered if anyone had any idea about how it might work. The squad based combat of 40k doesn't seem to lend itself well to an MMO from what i can see. |

I'd imagine WoW style setup, you chose your char, be it Marine etc, you go through upgrading your gear, and become a better marine, have a better bolter etc.

Yep I'd agree with Tig. I'd assume all of the WH40K races will be in there e.g. Orks, Eldar, Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Necrons etc.
I'm quite interested to see how this one pans out; The Warhammer Online game looks good as well! |

Having said that, i've just thought that they could model it on the Kill Team rules. |

I'd like to see how they team up the races if at all. As apart from space marines and imperial guard (which is a loose team up at best) everyone hates everyone else. Do we see lots of races? And then at certain times of teh day a battle zone opens up between 2 race's areas and hoardes of each can storm the area and battle it out?

My winky shifted a little when I read the news... I felt really pathetic after that

I've applied for the beta but am still waiting to get my confirmation of account creation through. Looks pretty interesting this one. Loved the tabletop Warhammer stuff when I was younger so hopefully this will bring the imagination to life.

Having moved on from WoW I have been wandering looking for a decent MMorpg. Hoping Warhammer 40K does the trick.
The thing as noted will be the scale of the groups/battles. Guilds/alliances will probably turn out to be crucial to allow the scale to work. But waiting till next year................its back to the table top for a while. Impy
Thnx to YouKnowWho, it's time for YouKNowWhat
