Re: EVE-Online
I just started my first Minnie alt the other day, and boy, it's so different... hardly any tanking, damn fast ships, awesome hitting power with my Arties, so much fun compared to tanking and slowly taking 'em down.
Sadly, the path I chose meant extremely high Perception and Willpower and really low all other stats although now with implants and starting to work on Learning skills they're getting better (19 Perc, 14 Will, 8 Mem & Int and 7 Charisma). Low Charisma and no Social skills means I'm getting very little standings gain when doing level 1's, but on the positive side I hit very hard! ![]() Currently have a Rifter (what a ship...) with the following setup: Type-D Power Core Modification: Shield Power Relay Type-D Power Core Modification: Shield Power Relay Co-Processor I (will replace with another relay when skills are better) Small Subordinate Screen Stabilizer I (will replace with a medium sized named extender) Additional Thermal Barrier Emitter I F-S8 Relativistic Deflection Shield Induction I 250mm Light Carbine Howitzer I, EMP S 250mm Light Carbine Howitzer I, EMP S 250mm Light Carbine Howitzer I, EMP S Standard Missile Launcher I, Sabretooth Light Missile Boy does it rip through frigs and cruisers fast! BTW, the shield resistant amplifiers and light missiles are exchanged depending on who I'm fighting.
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Re: EVE-Online
Huzzah, the war is over!
![]() I do believe that they lost more than us, so was good practice! And more the fools for them trying to take us on!

Re: EVE-Online
Losing ships is part of the game, I've lost 11 in the last 3 months. Including a faction fit Raven Navy Issue, not cheap. All part of the fun.

Re: EVE-Online
If you're working in small gangs the Caldari ECM boats Scorpion and Blackbird both work well. You will be stamping "PRIMARY" on your forehead though
![]() Blackbirds are pretty cheap and devastatingly effective in the right situation.

Re: EVE-Online
How do I give stuff away at the end of a trial? I obviously can't transfer money, but can I buy a load of ships and just leave them floating around in space for people to claim?
I'll have nearly 100m to get rid of probably - decided that while I love the short and medium term aspects of the game, I didn't really fancy the longer term stuff of being in a corp and ending up having to listen to lots of swearing americans bossing people around*. *generalisation formed only from watching You Tube videos of Eve. |
