Re: EVE-Online
Started the 14day trial; 5days left and am on my 3rd Rifter
![]() I've been working on level1 agent missions so far, but was taken on a Lev4 last night. That was intense. Funny as hell as well. My little Rifter orbiting battleships... I'm almost smaller than a heavy drone! The idea atm is to build up my Rifter skills and eventuly turn it into a tackler. Still have a lot to learn though that is very clear. Annoyingly I cant run the upgraded graphics either, gfx card cant do shader model 3.0.

Re: EVE-Online
Ah yes we're big fans of dropping our newer members into the middle of a tough L4 with a fleet. Tends to get their heart going, especially when we neglect to mention what's coming. Final stage of gurista 'ganza with all the spawns triggered is a personal fave. LOTS of torpedo explosions(20km blast ring for the uninitiated) and missiles flying around.
Apart from the hilarity on vent. It's a pretty good test to see if they can keep their head and follow instructions.

You're a legend Chuckskull
![]() I'll may fly up there one of the days and help with some mining or something to show my gratitude - not sure how much use I'd be though? |

Re: EVE-Online
Does anyone know of any good guides for setting the overview up and how to make it auto load one? The default keeps resetting when I undock.
I've made one for pvp/war but otherwise have just been using the default. |

Re: EVE-Online
Is there an way to extend the range of my ship?
My skills allow targeting to about 65km, but the ship falls well short of that at about 35km

Re: EVE-Online
Right click on the "Default" tab and select "Add Tab". Give the tab a name (e.g. PvP).
Now select the tab and click on the triangle by "Overview". Select "Open Overview Settings" Configure as necessary. Once done, close the window and then click on the triangle again and select "Save Current Type selection as..." Pick a name for it (e.g. PvP). Now, right click the new tab you made and select "Change Overview Settings ->" and select the new settings you saved. That should be it. It should be remembered even if you dock. If you change the settings (e.g. you remove wrecks from it), but don't save it, then it will revert to the saved settings you assigned to that tab.

EDIT: Just realised you mean weapon range. What weapons are you using? If its missiles, there is a skill that increases flight time. For hybrids, you use different ammo to change range (Iron I think has a 60% range boost). Drones, you need the skill to get to 45km and then a high slot for a Drone Link Augmentor for another 20k.

Re: EVE-Online
AHhhhh, it was the core stabiliser I had fitted
I didn't realise they did that.I had one hell of a mission yesterday. 4 energy neutraliser towers on me, warp scrambled, target dampened (if that's the correct term?)....was horrid. Wanted to offer a bit more protection. So how much use is the stabiliser if you get scrambled? Loving the Drake though (although much slower than I realised )....so much fire power

The penalties to your ship would be too big. In PVP its totally useless, unless you want to fit all your low slots as wcs you won't get away as there are usually a couple of warp scramblers on you yeah the drake is great, and slow as hell, I've died a few times because it takes so damn long to align to warp. One time the warp bar was about 2mm from the end when I got the scrambling message |

![]() Agent, 2-3 levels each in missile projection and missile bombardment will let your missiles hit out to your max locking range. The long range targeting skill adds 5% lock range per level too.
