how are T2 meds? How bad did they nerf the Hammerhead IIs?

I hate having to re-learn this bloody game after every patch, its hard enough as it is!

    Yep, it's really quite bad.
I understand the need for damage to be taken into account when attacking smaller ships for balance reasons, but it just feels stupid atm.

NPC Battleships are speedtanking cruise missiles. I mean, for crying out loud

The entire point of them, from their description is "A battleship mounted launcher used for long range standoffs with other battleships". Without webbing them currently it's not doing that. You shouldn't be webbing them because the entire point of missiles is to be able to fire at range and webs don't allow this.
As soon as they are within webbing range you might as well be using guns. They do damage quicker (no flight time), and from what I have seen so far, more damage in almost every situation.

Not only that but everyone on the forums seems to be ignoring PvP totally when bitching about the changes, which is Ironic as that's EvE's strong point.
Missiles were underused in PvP before the patch. Finding a use for them now....

Has anyone tried the Manticore yet? You'll rarely find me using terms like this, but I think "LOOOOOOL" sums it up nicely.

Hammers got nerfed mate. They takes ages on frigs now - you'll need lights for that.

I supposed screwed up gameplay is better then the shedloads of bugs that normally get introduced with a patch.

http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingamebo...962&page=9#263 sums it up quite nicely:

am supporting this pettition 100%. CCP has changed the dynamics of the game so much that I lost completely interest in playing the game any more. After multiple missile nerfs, this last one is simply rediculous. I tested in PVP with my Nighthawk, Manticore, and Caldari Navi Raven. I have maxed missile skills on one toon and max skills on gunnery on other toon. Missile boats are so outclassed in various combat scenarios that they are simply inferrior. Game is broken.
I am letting my children's accounts expire in two weeks (they were both Caldari and their interest was weak and only NPC) and my two industry and trade support accounts. My combat peeps have about 2, and 3 months left and will let them expire. I am dissapointed in training so long and seeing a great game go backwards. This is not an expansion - it is simply a patch, a bad one at that.

I am incuding below my detailed pre patch post fyi.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

I have spent hours reading the changes in missiles and things are definitely going in the wrong direction.

Caldari MUST use mids for tanking. New changes require more mids to be sacrified to achieve full efectiveness of missiles. Complexity is getting rediculous. This very reason for mids handicap, made Caldari so weak in solo pvp. Gang pvp is not an answer. You can say go in gangs to fill any deficiency in any scenario but really not the answer to this major missile nerf.

Why CCP has to screw so much with missiles is beyond me. Speed issue can be fixed many other ways.

Lets put things in simple terms for example:

There is NO way to win in a Raven vs a Domi/Megathron in pvp, providing equally skilled oponents and appropriate top mods. Can CCP see this clearly? Or this is done on purpose.

Or there is NO way a Nighthawk will win against Astarte in pvp, providing equally skilled oponents and appropriate top mods. Can CCP see this clearly? Or this is done on purpose.

The above list can go a long way like this.

My point is, missiles ARE TO COMPENSATE for the mid slots tanking (defence) and MWD/AB/WEB/TP/WS... (offence) PROBLEM or HANDICAP. It is a major Caldari disadvantage and has always been. There are no mid slots to fit all this to be any effective with missiles.

So STOP with nerfing missiles in general and deal with 10km/s Cruisers flying arround. Cruisers should not be fatser than missiles period. Under any circumstances.

Or maybe you will blend all the featuers in this game so much that everything becomes so nerferd and blended that peeps lose interest and the edge in the game. It is a scary thought, but it has happened before.

    Respectfully,

    Satene

    Re: EVE-Online

I am worried about this patch more than any other. I think its changed too much too quick.

I am gutted that TII are nerfed I used them more than I used my Rail guns, they did most of my DPS on missions.

Drones got nerfed, but they still work, T2 med's are no longer a one size fits all weapon for missions. T2 lights work fine on frigs. T2 meds for cruisers.

Raven fits 5 med and 5 light.

Still undecided about cruise and torps, starting to believe torps are going to be useless without a web. Which is annoying as I've spent the last couple of months speccing a torp golem.

I am now moving into production. I should be able to offer T2 frigs in the next month or so. Currently I can produce T1 ships and fittings.

    Re: EVE-Online

I put 25 Amarr Shuttles up for sale at 10K each (cost about 8K to produce 30 and market 25)

Within an hour I had sold 10 and I expect tomorrow my entire batch will be gone (I have another 30 in production at the moment)

Its not much ISK but it does go to show you that there is a massive % to be made in production.

    Re: EVE-Online

i'm moving my production up to you, just got to get my BPOs out of that hell hole

    the trip goes like this

    0.4 - 0.5 -0.5 - 0.4 - 0.4 - 0.5 and then all above 0.5 for the rest of the trip

The 2 x 0.4 back to back are bad as the gate is between 2 0.4 jumps so it is camped on both sides.

sollitdude > im not member of drekla. and yes i got access to your vent through somebody in the corp. I am member of the privateer alliance. together with this newest expansion, we were able to start many wars again
and be contracted by other alliances.
sollitdude > my corporation has been contracted to hunt down chuck skull for 200 million ISK, but in a desperate attempd he joined your alliance.
sollitdude > please release him from the corporation, and you will be spared.
Hunter cross > i want info first who gave you our vent pw?
sollitdude > i was given the vent server's name, and the port number. she said i had to guess for the password which was the same as your corporation name. BBK in capital letters.
sollitdude > i will not give out er name cause es a close friend of mine.
Hunter cross > i need the name
sollitdude > you know what i want hunter, now comply to my demands or you, izzy and all your newbie players will be destroyed and crushed. and dont you think we dont know how to destroy that famous carrier once chaos is back online.
sollitdude > have a nice day.
