When you first start downloading it does give you a link to a website but the fool that I am I didn't take note of it, thinking I'd be able to register later (after the download finished). Would anyone else be able to start downloading the eve trial on steam and passing on the url of the link it suggests? (could then cancel the downloading). |

Re: EVE-Online
OK I am officially impressed with eve support
![]() They told me exactly how to get a 21 day account (right click on the game in steam, select properties and there's a link there) - very helpful and seemed very eager to help if I had any other queries. A world away from WoW trial support! |

Re: EVE-Online
Eve's support is very good in my experience. Forums are pretty good too, if you can dodge the goons
![]() I'm a director in a small highsec corp if anyones looking for a home. Mining, missioning, bit of PVP. Nothing overly exciting but that was the point for most of us. Quite a few people came from corps that had been locked in long wars and wanted to chill and actually play the game for a while. We dont run open recruitment normally but hexus members will be welcome. Contact "Chuck Skull" ingame or post here if you're interested/have questions. A hexus corp sounds cool, even though I have other commitments. |

Re: EVE-Online
This would be the second go at creating one then... I made one back in 2004 but it didn't do too well!

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Re: EVE-Online
Guys dont go setting up a corp when you can join mine (Im a director in a hi sec / 0.0 corp) or Chucks
or at least come have a look in our chat room BTW Chuckskull interested in allainces? Hangers full of goodies, libary full of blueprints etc, ammo container rammed to bursting. We operate out of Masalle in hi sec and AAS in 0.0. Ratting, Exploration, salvage, PvP, mining, mission running the works. Some real good experianced players with a hat full of decent support. We play for fun but the help is there to help you which ever route you choose. Combat guys get purchased ships etc. Discount on skill books, free rigs etc. Last few days I have ratted upto 1 mill in value per rat. Found 2 hidden asteroid belts with in excess of 100 mill in omber, 4 small hidden complexs worth 1 mill total (I usually turn these over to newer members to blast away at.) Plus a complex which threw up rare faction armor plates at 50 mill a pop (the head battleship was worth 2.5 mill) That was all hi sec stuff, but if you want a crack at low sec 0.0 then happy to escort you in and show you the ropes Exploration is my thing along with rig building and trading. I also do a lot of salvage. If you can only fly lvl 1 or 2 missions atm but fancy a major scrap always welcome to join us in a complex or lvl 4 mission Ekchuah's Shrine Comporium join our public chat channel anytime EKCHU-PUB and add me Stormrook We fund the corp with POS situated in 0.0 and exploration in 0.0 ![]() We are currently building souped up frigates for members |

Re: EVE-Online
This is bad.
I signed up for another EVE trial under a different email, but this time spent the last 2 days just playing it solid. I'm hooked, even though I know how much I have to learn. I've just spent 2 days grinding because the latest patch has stopped the missions from working on trial / new accounts. Apparently the fix is due tomorrow. However, I've made over half a million ISK, have a couple of ships and few other items, so the next few missions should be easy ![]() Really want to get into the PvP thing though so doing a mixture of mining and weaponry at the moment. Have had a look at EVE uni. and will probably sign up to that - so thanks for the recommendation ![]() |

Re: EVE-Online
Eve uni is well worth it, especially if you want to get into PVP. Dont bother training anymore mining stuff if thats your goal though. Focus on combat. If you need isk, missions will earn you more than mining, in highsec anyway.

Re: EVE-Online
GameCards In Game within a Second and Game Codes, Game Time, Registration Code Keys, World of Warcraft, EVE, DDO, Lineage 2, Ultima Online Are both highly recommended and yeah monthly is a bit expensive most people go for 3 months at a time, works out quite a bit cheaper.
Once you've been playing a while or find a rich ingame friend you can pay for your game time with ISK. Going rate is about 180mil per month or 400mil for 3. Thats what I intend to to after this 3 month sub is up. EVE Online | EVE Insider | Forums Has all the info on that, dont forget to read the stickies. |

Re: EVE-Online
Hey Dak. I'm looking at joining a player corp as I now have broadband installed (after 6 months) so can start to play more regularly, but was wondering what kind of enemies you have? Is it friendly rivalries or are you getting war-decced and then ganked in high-sec? Just wondering as I've heard a lot of bad stories about this sort of thing happening and is my main concern leaving the NPC corp (after a year and a half!).
