    Re: EVE-Online

    Hi Gerrard

At the minute we are a small band of brothers, through growing, we arnt getting into the war side of things for a longgggg while, we would like to control and area of 0.0 at some stage but again thats wayyyy off. Currently we operate from Masalle and to date have only lost 1 ship in hi sector and that was to a poxy can flipper, our chap made mistake of engaging him and got his hauler nuked

The only enemies we have are the same as anyone else venturing into the syndicate area of 0.0 Hurrazh Federation and Wise Guys to name 2. Long as you either a. stay outta 0.0 / low sec where they operate or b. dock up sharpish when they enter system your only ships losses would be to NPCs.

Let me have ingame name or add me Stormrook and come to public channel to meet some of the lads later. I can say now if you wanted to join theres a space for you with us as a fellow Hexite

We are very geared towards what you want to get from Eve, its a teamwork thing, some of us mission run, some rat, some mine some do whatever the hell they feel like, we just aim to provide a support base for people, in return we may ask at times for a push on salvaging or the occasional team effort on a big mission, other than that its your call Currently we dont even have a tax rate to encourage

You will also be on good terms with Chuck Skulls corp we are blue to them and them to us, also RASA and Moose foundation all friends.

Despite playing for so long, I haven't really been following the politics of 0.0 as it wasn't affecting me. I've spent all my time in hi-sec mission running and occasionally some mining ops with some new guys in the NPC corp. I have plenty of support skills (or can do within a short period of time), so should hopefully be able to help you guys.

I'll look you up next time I'm on.

I'm going to have to remember to get in touch with one of you guys, I'd like to get a bit more involved in the game before I decide whether to subscribe. Low level missions and ratting only go so far!

Oh yes, forgot to mention I invested some skill time into exploration as well. Got Covert Ops upto 4 and some of the other exploration skills up to about 3 or so, so I could help you next time.

This thread has whet my appetite to download the trial again. Didn't really make the most of it last time, anyone have any tips on how to get into it quickly? I got a bit bored with mining, but it seems to be the easiest way to earn cash.

I saved up, got a Badger, then every time I was mining I was bringing about 350,000 ISK home. Soon built up that way

Skill training really cuts the time down. I've just learnt about the different "learning" types of skill and how these change your attributes. Wish I had have noticed sooner

I'm now warping down to give it a go in a frigate with some ropey equipment installed. Hopefully it will be a lot of fun, I haven't really pvped much (unless you count getting killed before you know whats going on a decent attempt at PVP) as I used to play it with a couple of friends, but they moved away for uni so I haven't been too active in the last few months.

    Re: EVE-Online

I'm back into it again, have been for about 2 weeks, playing it more than ever. Probably part of the reason I am is because I'm in such a good corp. They're called Hadean Drive Yards (Hadean Drive Yards - An Eve Online MMPORPG Corporation) and the main goals are to mine, refine and manufacture ships at a low cost. They're very well organised and have been round for many years.

So, Lord Shiver is working on getting a Hulk ASAP (currently flying a Retriever) and mining and refining for the corp, also doing a bit of hauling in my Iteron 5 with about 32.5k m3 capacity. Lady Shiver is flying round in a Vexor (soon to be a Ishtar) beating things up with lots of Drones, and also out there protecting our miners when they are in low(ish) sec space on mining ops!

There's so many new things since I last really played about 3+ years ago, and being in a good corp is definately the key to enjoying the game.

My biggest aim at the moment is to be able to fly a Nyx, it's a Carrier, such an awesome ship! But I'm about 126 days from being able to fly one, and that's if I concentrate on the skills to fly the ship alone!

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Allen could you add me please? We are in the market for a hulk in the not to dim and distant future, and whilst we do have a supplyer of some ships and we research our own tech 2s A lot we dont have access to.

Gerrard joined us last night Welcome aboard chap He made an awesome contribution straight off to the salvage fund...so much so we are struggling with his welcome to the corp ship/rig

Sure, I'll add you when I get home from work tonight, but that won't be till after 11pm.

If you wanna check out the prices, see here: Hadean Drive Yards - Shop@HDY Catalogues - a Hulk currently goes for 90m, I believe they're more on the open market, as most ships normally are.

I'm pretty sure this link is allowed, as even though I'm part of the corp, what I'm advertising isn't for a company per se!

I read this at home earlier and thought this sounds like such a good idea! However, I know I'll probably be rubbish at it (am rubbish at all PvP, no matter what the game), so I'll probably wait till I got enough money spare to lose lots of ships (am a bit short at the mo after buying a few cruisers with T2 equipment, an Iteron V with T2 equipment and 2 sets of +3 implants...).

It's great fun, and I'm terrible at the PVP in this. I mostly ran ded space zones and mined before with a couple of friends, that got me enough isk to do a while but it's going down quite fast I've lost two drakes totalling to about 150mil (yeah, i bought rigs for the first one, but it was a mission ship and wasnt meant to get killed but I was in the wrong place at the wrong time)

You don't need a good ship to join in, I see people flying around in frigates not even adding up to a million, cheap fitted with a scrambler or a webber and irritating other people. But the ship range is from frigates to battleships. I joined blue and we took out a couple of battleships earlier on a raid to the red HQ, it's great. There are people on vent telling you what to do so it isn't exaclty the hardest thing.
