I am not a hardcore mmog player usually a few hours a night when I`m playing one.

I played city of heroes when it came out and managed to burn out after doing the positron task force. Took about 8-9 hours solid to complete and you had to play it through in one sitting. After that i stopped playing for a few weeks lol.

I like wow but the problem for me atm is every server I have played on all the guilds seem to be all about the high level raids and not about going through low level stuff. i guess thats part of the problem wen a MMOg hits this age.

GW can be played anyway you like really. Most of the time I do play it for a quick blast then log off for another week. But that said I've been doing that for nearly 3 years so it's been very good value for money!

I'm just getting to the point I need to get help with missions though, so that'll mandate I organise to play for a set period of time probably.

Don't mind helping out where I can, only one I can't really help on is Factions as I'm only upto the first Kurzic mission where you have to kill the squid thing on the frozen sea.

I only have Prophecies and Nightfall myself

Nightfall is just about going OK, but I'm now at the Crystal Desert in Prophecies and it's getting a bit tough!

is there a place where i can download the client of gw? i got the original cd at home but wanted to know if its possible to download the client and play with my normal account?

Yes of course, just go to the guild wars website. You don't need any CDs, you can play on any machine that has an internet connection.

No, but you carry your login details in your head, so you can just download the client on any computer and play it. Josh already said he had an account.

You can get the main campaigns for GW now for a mere £20 from most retailers, play occasionally has them for £15 each.

Prophecies and Nightfall are the best main campaigns and Eye of the North is a true expansion requiring one of the main campaigns to be able to play it.

If you head over to the PlayNC site you can get the client there but it is a big download. I believe you can get it from FilePlanet also.

Guild Wars right? The client is tiny - about 100kb.

You can download the world content if you don't want to stream areas on the fly, that's a big download.

im only level 12 and had this game since launch lol but ironicly have 3 chars that are level 11/12 and was wondering if its worth getting the expansion pack. which expansion pack is better and more popular? i might give the pvp a go too

As Ferral said, there's only one expansion pack. If it comes down in price it's worth it, but at the moment it's not anything like the value of the stand alone campaigns, of which Nightfall is probably the best, followed by Prophecies.

Trouble with streaming areas on the fly is that if you are in a group they arn't likely to wait for you as the areas are pretty big download size. Best to get the full whack I would say.

Personally feel that Prophecies was the best one but Nightfall is equally as good. Currently stuck on the Nightfall mission where you have to take the woman out, manage to kill her once but the titans get me during the 2nd battle.

I still struggle with Guildwars becuase I don't like the graphics. I like the gameplay but cannot get past the presentation.
