Spreading the Hexus word?
OK, so we have the regular members of Hexus join the Hexus Horde, some of people's friends and a couple joining the site after talking to members in game. What else can we do to recruit for Hexus?
As far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier, right? Or are we stricktly keeping this to members, friends and the odd person coming to join Hexus.net? The reason I ask is that I'm tempted to add a post to the WoW forums in the Guild Recruitment channel (I won't do this until I have permission though) to point people in the direction of Hexus.net or to get them to chat with us in game. Do you think this is a good idea or not? I don't wanna go straight ahead with it, I thought I'd ask in case someone else wanted to or has and I missed it. Also, I didn't want to appoint myself to be the one posting the info, though I will happily do it if you give me the OK. I would keep the thread alive, respond to queries and chat with people in game too, I don't mind. Of course, if you think someone higher up in the guild should/could do it, then that's fine with me.
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Personally I'd rather keep it to just hexus members and friends of members, I think we're going to get big enough as it is

Allen we are already up to about 30 people in the guild, with new Hexites getting the game this number is only going to increase. If we get many more (more than 50) the guild will become un-managible as contact between members will diminish. At around 50 people it would be hard enough for the high level players to create items for the lower level players as well as providing help with quests, professions etc.

Myself and Leon funny enough had already discussed this last night. Its a good point and its nice to know our guild is thinking about issues like this. For me the guild is superb at the moment, working much better than I expected it too. Organising 30 people to share, quest together and work as a team is no small feat and i think from my point of view and i'm sure leon will agree, we don't have to do that much prompting . I feel we are pretty much here to help and guide, myself with the trade/economy and Leon for the guild as a whole.
I'm worried that our team work will make us attractive to other people wanting to join. I think that being a hexus member should actually be a requirement, that being a friend of hexus member is not enough. Its not like we are asking for much for them to be a member of the forum, who the guild has formed from?. Hexus's whole community attitude makes the people on here much more likely to work together, getting new people joining could just cause headaches. 50 people i think is the maximum limit i'd like to see myself. I think 30 is much more managable. Just my views for reference ![]() TiG

does anyone no the limit of people on a server, and if there are limits set to the amount of people that can join a guild. i think 50 is a sensible number to set a limit at for a guild that is just startin out, it will be far easier to manage and if at a later date we want to grow then you could just promote peoples ranks to spread out the management roles.
we need to make sure that people that do join the guild do actually play as part of a team, i was walkin around yesterday when someone asked me if i could help them do a quest (wasnt a guild member i must add) it was in the crypt, i help them out gettin in there and killin the guy they needed then they just ran and left, didn't help me fight way out of the crypt they just up and went. didnt bother me as im level 13 (nearly 14) warrior so i held my own but we need to make sure we dont recruit people like this. I know im not a memeber of hexus in wow (yet, maybe 2nite) however i would say keep it to hexus people, i mean as said above everything just gets chaotic, any guild events are a pain to get sorted becuase there are too many people about etc etc.

I too think it would be best to keep it to guild members as well. We all seem to be getting along well and helping each other out.

Fair points, some which I hadn't thought about.
