To the Hunters

Well hello there mates!!
I decided to give this info thread here at the forums for all you hunters out there!!
In this i will try and post all the rare pets in the game, that might be a good tame!!
Why?
Well because:
1- For us hunters its important to have a good pet guarding our back, and normally the rare ones are better!Also rare poets give slightly more training point, that can be important in the Upcomming pet Customization!
2-I know u have heard on the forums that all pets are the same...thats not true...rare pets a minor stat improvements, and also usually have something special, like great speed!!
3-We cant forget the Coolness factor!!rare pets normally have diferent collors and are bigger wich means they can grow larger than the others!!!also it as come to my atention in the forums and stuff, that having a rare pet , to some hunters in comunity is like having a porsche or some other kind of rare and expensive car!!I really dont get it...

PS: the Swamp Jaguar its not rare, but still one of the best pets you can tame!

For last i left these 4 pets..i know little about them but (from the little i know about the and from what i've heard) they are probably the rarest, and the hardest to tame!!They all roam in winterspring!!


*Rak'shiri..lvl 57 Cat Winterspring - Seen a pic..Really cool..huge white tiger, with glowing green eyes..bigger head that King B, and bigger fangs!!
*Sian-Rotam lvl 60 Cat Winterspring
*Shy-rotam lvl 59-60 Cat Wintersping - from what little i've heard these 2 are very rare..we need to call them to appear..probably only chace to catch them!!
*Ursius lvl 56 Bear Winterspring...to my knowlledge this is the slowest atacker in the Game 2.40 atack speed...gives more damage than all the other bears...Appears to be Huge!!


Well i hope u guys find this usefull..it was really hard getting all this info...maybe soon i will also post some other Hunter related material so we can gather usefull info on being a Hunter!

Very good post!

When i got my dwaven hunter to lvl 12 i proceeded to head to thunderbluff to get 'The Rake' - Was a hell of a journey and died SO much getting there. When i eventualy got to mul gore and used thottbot to give me an idea where he was ment to be i spent the next 1hour + trying to find him! Hes got a 1 hour spawn time, wonders a large area and spawns randomly aswell.

It was well worth it tho, love him as a pet (now lvl 22) and becuase im alliance with him not many others have the same

Ive seen Ironback - hes on a beach far to the east side of the hinterlands, I actually killed him last time lol

He seems to have a 24h respawn time though

Steelsnap has a fairly quick respawn, mainly as he's a quest kill, he's just northwest of whitereach post if anyone wants him (btw he travels with two lvl 29 bodyguards too)

Kurdos and Granistad are lvl 40ish birds on the path to the hinterlands from Hillsbrad, if you catch me online I can take you to them

I was told by Bitti - The guy with the undead epic mount that all he does to make money is to farm the 50+ named monsters, this peed me off abit as alot have long respawn times and as hes doing this every morning it means no high level named mobs for hunters to tame / others to get nice kit from

Therefore I think we should maybe make a list of co-ords and times we see them to help our guild guys get there hands on some too

What a selfish, arrogant ****er!! I can't stand people like that who don't have any consideration for other people playing the game. I know it won't affect me as I'm far off actually going to the places these mobs are, let alone fighting them, but it still makes me mad!

Have to agree..thats not only a bit lazy, just going after the named beasts, but also is a bit rude!!Some of these pets have long spawn times, some reach to 48h(!!), and for us hunters and other players its not a good thing, specially if they are part of some mission!!As for the coordinates, i think i can get map pics with the respawn zones marked for every pet!!It will take long, but if u guys want it i will do it

One other tip for hunters is about taming an elite pet.
Elite animals will rip you to shreds in the time it takes to tame them so just stick a freezing trap between you and him when you start taming and he'll be stuck there for at least half the taming time

Remember the 'ole sticky glue that I'm always after?
Trolls and probably Orcs will know this as an early level quest item. I often use it in the same way as a freezing trap. The REALLY usefull thing is that if you place a freezing trap, just as it runs out get a friend to hurl some glue at the target, and it'll be stuck there virtually until the end of the taming
Aggro doesn't seem to be an issue as I've always kept it and so the taming doesn't get interupted.
