Guest Pass Expiration..

Does anyone know how long you have to upgrade a guest pass account to retail once it expires?

Just wondering as mine expires in a week or so; but I don't want to buy a copy until after my exams (June) .. so I can't play it.

i was under the impression that you had to but a retail copy, and there wasnt an upgrade a such

The trial demo last ten days then expires unless you purchase a retail box copy.

I don't know an official amount of time, but you should be safe for at least a few months, they want you to play after all. Check on the forums, I would look for you but "games" sites are banned at work.

As said above... blizzard have confirmed that once your 10 days are up you have to go out and buy a retail copy of the game and enter the new code into the account management page on the webby.

i think they normally hold accounts for 6 months.. not sure if that applies to the trial or not though

Yeah I knew that .. theres an "account upgrade" option where you put in the retail key

They guarantee 6 months i think - in general though MMORPG accounts are never deleted, I had my daoc account inactive for almost a year, reactived and my chars were exactly where I left them, completely intact.
