Well, I bought It! - Rogue Info?

Now I just have to wait till it gets here to play it

In the mean time however, can anyone tell me if the server you Hexus guys play on it PvP or PvE ?

Im thinking about going with a rogue, but would like to hear from any rogues in the horde about how the game plays as a rogue (specially if they have previous EQ experience, as I have, it will help me "feel" how the game is different from playing EQ Rogue )

    TA!

The guild is on Arathor, a PvE server, although some are also on other servers (Ragnaros for PvP?)

Cool, pretty much gathered it was PvE.

Now just have to wait for the game to turn up and sort out some levels lol.

Maybe Im not looking in the right places, but I dont often see the old "setup" guides like you used to get for EQ, Now I know WoW is more customisable than EQ with regards to what "powers" you can have, but Im wondering if there is a distinct trend to 1 specific setup?

Only ask cus after looking at some of the stuff on backstab, it doesnt look as impressive @ lvl60 as I expected.

For a rogue there are two main options you ahve to choose between, that is a more stealthy ambush/backstab rogue using a dagger, or a combat rogue using either dagger/sword/mace. I chose an ambush/backstab rogue as it's the more rogue like to me using stealth and ambushing and backstabbing from behind.

Also the rogue is probably the best grinding class if you like that sort of thing, more so at lower levels.

My rouge is lvl 25 and a combat / crit build (using 2x maces atm) which means i more or less completely ignour the stealth and stealth attacks and just focus on straight forward 'just keep smacking them until they die'

The ambush/backstab abilities are getting an increase in damage in the next patch i think it's about 10-15% for both of them, hopefully that will mean I can ambush for over 1000 damage
