Lag - is as bad for you guys as it is for me?
as title
![]() Having huge amounts of lag problems now, i'm on a diff server to you guys (doomhammer) but its getting unplayably laggy recently. eg, i logged on tonite, spawned in tarren Mill and found a raid about to start on the alliance just below us, so i join in, we get there and suddenly ping jumps from 32ms to 3053ms and beyond, then a few mins later the interface freezes, can still move about but cant crouch etc, cant logout or exit - only way to fix it is alt-tab and end program ![]() Its not as bad during the day/between 2am and 12pm but its still not good is it just doomhammer or are you guys having similar problems?

It does get very laggy in places, but we are on a low population server, so I'd hate to see what it's like on a busy pvp server..

lag is unlikely to be affected by the server though, it's the bandwidth on the connection. And from a maintenance and support point of view I imagine that all the servers are the same spec, the high pops are simply more populated.
I do get a lot of lag in big raids though, Tarren Mill can be a nightmare |

Doomhammer lags a lot, got a Warrior char there and I get fed up with the lag.
Here in Arathor, I'm still getting lag, especially in towns, and 70% of time once I get a new quest.....things will stop moving (apart from me), NCPs disappear and my pet stays put. I've found the problem to be this Belkin network switch my GF uses. Her BB gave her a BT Voyager modem/router which you can hook up both USB and ethernet at the same time. Her PC uses the USB connection, the ethernet goes to the network switch which supplies the mac I play WoW on and other PCs in the house. The switch would just freeze, and the only way to get a connection back is to reset the switch.

Wouldn't know about Doomhammer, am not on it. But with Arathor there's sometimes (like very brielfy after logging in or entering a new zone) a little bit of lag. When entering Tarren Mill during the massive PvP battle we had the other day, I was frozen for about 30 seconds, then it took about 10 seconds for all the different people to appear, but during the battle, whilst I was fighting, I noticed very little lag.
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.
