Idea-stealing
Velan was gonna post this but wonder if he forgot (old man)...
Have a rank specifically for alts, so that we can see the wood from the trees of who is a main and who an alt..I know there's no such thing "really" ie if your alt overtakes your main they become the main but... Sounds like good Hordeish logic to me. I should take this opportunity to say, in defense of this scheme before anyone else wants to have a go: If you are schitzophrenic, you will of course be allowed as many mains as you have personalities. No you can't. Yes you can.
Well Hello!

I think it's a good idea. We need to see how many people in the guild not how many characters. Each night we usually have about 12 or 13 people online yet our guild screen shows 66 names. Either people don't play anymore or we have an awful lot of alts.
Looking at the vote thread that Velan put up, we had about 13 people post a response. Bearing in mind that membership of the guild has thus far been limited to members of the forum, that's a pretty poor return. Is there an element of voter apathy within HH, or are we simply looking at a large number of alts? I'm sure we're not waiting for 53 other responses but it would help the GM/Oficers if they had some idea of how many could vote.

Ach beaten to it!
I vote yes as its getting a bit confusing with the number of Alts!
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams. |

I'd say "aye" to this one too. Though, what about the players in our guild who haven't been online for 1-3 months? I couldn't even find out who they were when I was an officer...
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Alas poor Makgrosh, I knew him well Kerilus.
Amazing how little feedback there has been for this idea, compared to something people don't like eh? IMO we need to set a thread-vote-timeout...something like 48 hours after first post...obviously revise decisions if, 49 hours after having 5 yes votes, we get 483 no votes in 5 minutes...but we need a deadline (however wooley) in place so things like this get sorted. Of course if there IS a big debate thats different...but if the consensus is "aye" after two days, go with it...maybe this should be a new thread, but because the idea is SO great and nobody would naysay it, I wouldn't get any responses at all
Well Hello!

Adding a rank for alts is a good idea, but generally the Guild needs tidying up. Makgrosh has already stated he won't be back. |

Download an addon called GuildInfo it will tell you the players names of the characters, which is main and which are alts
simple. Also tells you what servers they are on.
