Abuse
Right guys I have thought this over and need to post somthing on this topic, Ive had a couple of reports now of people waiting till a solo officer is on and then people who I wont name giving them a hard time via PM.
Let me state this will not be tolerated, individual officers will not make decisions affecting the entire guild - you may raise an issue for them to discuss however taking turns to PM them untill they are forced to log off will not be accepted. In the guild rules it says people should be nice to each other and this extends to the officers, I do not want people game experiance ruined for the fact that they said they would help out and be an officer. The guild definately needs to get back on track with ALL co-operating not just with a select few friends. Any further individual abuse will be punished serverely. Lets get back to having fun
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams. |

Dunno what the random monty python quote is all about
But I find this very surprising, being more specific would help the situation. As people might not see what they are doing as 'abuse', even it's it's in a PM and not posted on the forum.

From a niave perspective I’ll not analyze it, just make sure I adhere to it in the future.
Edit: Whoever has been bullying the officers (if the manner in which was stated in Velans post is correct) is a coward to do so in this way. I do hope this has been a misunderstanding.

Please just take in the gravity of this...the GM is basically saying a person or persons has been making the leisure time of one of the officers, people who help the guild out by doing ADMIN in their free time for God's sake, unbearable by harassing them.
There is nothing in this game to make people that angry....that they have the right to upset another person so.
Well Hello!

what the fonix , if the peep is harassing some officer give him a warning , and if keeps on harassing , kick him.
If someone has a problem , should discuss it with the GM and the other guild members , not harassing some officer. If anyone is unhappy with something should try to tell that to the officers and the GM , them try to solve the problem , and if even then he or she inst happy , there are loads of guilds out there , take your pick ( sry for the undiplomatic aswer , but thats my thought on it) WoW Ravenblood - lvl 56 Troll Hunter - Mining/Eng Dumac - lvl 18 Druid - Herb/Alc

Just on a general note, its very easy to throw these sort of comments about when I guess only the officer and whoever was throwing these comments about know what it was about.
Harassment is a very strong word and i doubt in this case actually correct. I would guess Ravenbloods and Daverobev's reactions are just as annoyed as any statements pointed at any officers. Just remember there are 2 sides to every story. TiG

Abuse is a strong word - i classify pm'ing someone calling them insulting names abuse.
However, if people are not happy with something in the guild. I do not classify pm'ing an officer as abuse. Taking turns pm'ing an officer surely isn't a pre-thought plan. Perhaps it was just lots of people with the same problem asking an officer to resolve it. I believe this thread relates to the other night where approx 8 of us (me included) were chatting in guild chat about why tiramus had been demoted. |

No TIG , if the peep waits for only a officer to be online , then PMing him to oblivion , that shows something on his beavior , he wants to harass that officer and not be disturbed by other officers , that to me is enough because that shows premiditation , and if Velan brought this to the open , is because this matter is serious.
Has i said before , if anyone has a problem he should bring it to the GM and the officers , not picking out a sollo officer and spamming PMs , i dont give a damn about what they talked , its the behavior of the peep that bothers me , not the subject of the conversation. This situation is being monitored carefully and will be acted on if deemed necessary, the thing is that I do view this as serious otherwise wouldnt have posted on the topic.
For any trouble that an officer is unable to resolve and which you think is that urgent my MSN and forum PM are allways on and availale.

I could agree with that Mads , but why wasnt the problem brought to the guild to be discussed, i still dont like someone targeting a officer to solve something , if someone has a problem , send a PM to the GM and wait for his aswer , or bring it to the guild if the problem isnt personal.

If only one officer is online when a question is raised, they must be patient as it may require all officers confirmation.

get more officers? Me and ERU are in a DOD clan and Madocks used to be in another clan with both of us. In both situations, there was a group of officers comprising of about 1/3 of all members, to facilitate good running. It's worked quite effectively, in fact the only reason our previous clan broke down was because one or two members got a disproportionate amount of power.
