Horde Paladins and Alliance Shamans..... what a joke. As Geist said, instead of sorting out balance issues, they're ruining the lore because they're too damn tight to spend time and money doing it the right way.

I think it's an absolute disgrace anyway. There are still so many problems in WoW, yet Blizzard are ignoring them and just adding new stuff all the time trying to cover up these problems. Botters, hackers, gold farmers, twinks (in fact, ANTHING to do with PvP is now crap), the fact that to get anywhere in game requires the free time only available to kids, students, the unemployed, those who can play at work or those prepared to give up their social lives (there are the odd exceptions though, so I'll expect people to come back telling me how they have a 9-5 job, a family, rank 11+, tier 1/2 epics, an epic mount from each faction and several lvl 19 twinks).

I love WoW, but if this isn't a sick joke, then I'm cancelling my subs, and so will 75+% of the community by the looks of it.

I think most people know that Blizzard are likely to bring in a lot of changes to the Shaman and Paladin classes ( and most other classes for that matter ! ) with the expansion pack

Another thing pointed out is that alot of the level 70 instances that will be released will NEED both types of classes to progress though.

I dont see the problem with paladins on horde side, I admin im not a massive follower of the lore though. They explained on their web site the "lore" behind the blood elf paladins and thats good enough for me.

I can say that NON of the guys in my guild are planning to leave just because they are bringing paladins to horde or shamans to alli

From my guild of aprox. 70 players about 5 people have said they'd quit because of the butchering of the lore in the expansion, don't fall for the whining bitches on the offical forums.

everyone on the wow-europe forums keeps going on about undead pally's and stuff, but has it been mentioned anywhere that these classes will be available to any races, other than dranei and blood elves, for shaman and paladin respectively?

I think our main thread on the issue has gone through the seven stages of denial. We now have afew ppl who are looking forward to switching to a belf pally (ok one of them because they'v had enough being 3 times the size of a human )

At the end of the day its happening and I see more ppl not buying the expansion and canceling their accounts since there getting board of it in general. Loads will leave when WAR comes out aswell.

The new classes will only be available to the new races from what I'v read.

Pretty sure it's only gonna be for the for the new races, Blood Elf Paladin and Draenai Shaman.

I never get when people starting thinking about quitting the game because Blizzard has/hasn't done such and such. At the end of the day, its a game, and one thats provided so much enjoyment for such a long time, and still does so. But these players tend to immerse themselves into the WoW world, and probably actually believe they are a dwarf/gnome/nelf/orc/UD/troll/cow (not going to list humans!).

I'm all for these changes, gives me more things to play with, and probably raid much easier with some pally's in the group. As for the 'lore' aren't we as the players constantly changing it? "For it is written that the legendary Horde, no Alliance, no Horde, no Aliiance group killed Raggy.".......

Hell, if they were to introduce some Star Wars theme into the game and ruin the 'lore' it'll still be fine by me, at least I get to shoot lasers!

Official forums account for at best 1% of the community (probably much less), I wouldn't use it to gauge trends in the population.

Over 70 people in our guild, and not a single one is leaving due to the lore crap they are doing. I'm suprised actually, has we have a few lore whores in the guild.

As someone else said, I think most people on the official forums who are quitting are doing so because they are bored with the game, and are just using this to make it look like they were so disgusted with the changes they had to quit

I don't blame them to be honest, but they could at least just say "This game is a time consuming waste of my life and now is a good time to do something else"

Yeah this pally/shaman thing sucks!

I acturally thought blood elves would brind some horde population on most servers, but now alliance can be bluddy shamans :S:S, thats ruined that completly.

I'd be surprised if they lose 1% of their subscribers due to this.

With the expansion coming and the prospect of the pala/shammy crossover, even a few of the people who I know that left, are re-subscribing.
