    Who's still playing WoW then?

Been lots of talk of guildwars etc. and since the WoW forum got merged into this.. just wondering how many people on the forums still play ..

I'm finding Arathi Basin really fun lately, I was thinking of quitting because I had become bored & was sick of all the Mage nerfs ( ).. but after playing AB a few times (and actually winning as alliance once or twice.. - we never win WSG on our server) it's put the fun back into WoW for me.
(aside from the times when its 15 mainly low 40's vs all lvl49's ).

I've been playing for 6months btw, & I'm a lvl46 mage with no alts.. lol (well, one rogue alt but she's only lvl7).

We cannot choose what we are.. but what are we but the sum of our choices?

ive been playing a little, lvl29 undead rogue (go horde ), ive been doing wsg quite a lot recently, esp because im top of the level bracket now so i just ambush everyone and kill them in 2 or 3 moves. i dont know though, ive kinda got bored of it right now, i think i need to go and explore different areas to get new quests and such, but its a real pain having to run about, im forever bring up the map thinking i can click to go to that town

ive only had wow about 3 weeks, and i keep falling in and out of it. one day i wont be able to stop playing, the next i will log in, look at it and log right back out again.

    nah I can't stand horde

yeah I think I'm sort of like that with wow, last week I didn't like it, this week I can't get enough. (tho it was last week I lost a roll for a purple item with my flatmate.. gr.. 90% of my rolls are below 40.. seriously, the last 6 instances I did I won /nothing/).

As for running around, once you have all the flightpaths & a mount.. it's not so bad
The first time around (main character) running to the new area I always find quite fun as it's something new to explore.

As for questing, I can never be bothered doing them because they frustrate me most of the time so to level I just end up grinding (IAE grinding = 25-30,000xp/hour + plus some nice drops over time, like the purple).

We cannot choose what we are.. but what are we but the sum of our choices?

Wow in beta you couldnt get me off it however wow when released as much as i enjoyed it something was always missing... I get bored and end up making new chara's

I have about 24 alts over 5 servers... 42warrior, 42priest, 40mage, 36rouge, 32pally, 29hunter, 24shaman, 21druid and the rest are between 10-20 and only started becuase i have mates on those servers who said come on over.

Problem is when im playing, if i get ganked when questing i get pissed off an quit. If i cant do any of my quests without grouping i normaly get pissed off and quit. If i cant do any of the my quests without grouping but decide to find a group and fail quickly i get pissed off and quit... most of the time it means moving over to another alt or just starting a new one to kill time but stay happy

hehe you're like my flatmate, on my server he has every alliance class type..
3 of which are over lvl42..

So which class do you think is "best" as of 1.7? (hunter with BM? .. so unfair). I know it's not us water/food dispensing mages

I'm still playing on Arathor (and Ragnaros every now and then), as is a lot of people from Hexus Horde. My Mage is now 58 and enjoying end game instances and PvP (especially the new AB) but as always I just don't have the time or energy to level up or play enough to get a decent PvP rank. It's a shame really, I'm not really crap at PvE or PvP but unless I plough hours into Kerilus all the time I never will.

Still, having fun with my alts and that's keeping me going I think.

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

yeah they changed our class type. *cries*.
Still with the constant 24hour moaning in the mage blizz forums.. we should get some changes
Mage talent improvements are planned & also bringing back invis (in a slightly different form I suspect though).

I would start again, but apparantly a 'plague' is wiping out the players under level 30 atm. It escaped from a boss in Zul-Grub and a bunch of NPCs in major cities caught it from the players, now they give it to everyone nearby automatically... 250 damage every 5 seconds or so afaik

Hi there all, I'm still playing - got my NE warrior to lvl 60 ground my way thorugh loads to get the arcanite reaper in two weeks! cost 600g in the end (transmutes, crystals - can't mine themdue to all the farmers so had to buy them all, and payment for the crafter). now i'm broke especially having brought a load of dark iron for 80s per ore from gadgetzan it's not selling in IF!!! the Arathi Basin is quite good fun , much more so than WSG. but i've only won 2 games so far the horde seem much better organised!

I've also got an undead lock which is sooo different from the warrior. it's strange doing damage from a distance rather than standing there in the group dealing it out with the reaper! got to use these shadow bolts and whats with the auto fire on a wand eh?? it's so over powered!

So all in all i'm still playing and enjoying it, trying to get raids in lbrs, ubrs, stat, MC, scholo etc going

wands overpowered? .. well.. we had to put up with no auto fire for ages..
but even with autopower I pretty much never use it in pvp.. it's pointless
