Where are the rest? must be more than that

Sure you're not saving them for the 'private' collection?

this is all abit sad and hardly does much for the reputation of gamers and computer enthusiats being sad lil boys sitting in rooms playing with their knobs and overclocking their cocks, sorry, cpu's.

Didn't a couple of computer games expo's ban this throw back ****?

    it's just cringe inducing.

Yes.... you obviously have a clear idea of what we all do....

Many of the people on here are at uni, some work in IT, others don't but have a passing interest. Myself, I've just got back from clubbing @ uni, so I hardly think I'm a 'sad little boy sitting in rooms'

well i do know something you certainly don't do, read peoples posts properly.

I clearly said it does nothing for the reputation ie stereotype. Half the reason $hit like booth babes annoys me is because it reinforces that caricature and reinforces pc's and computing as a boys club.

I mean can't we leave this crap to the Maxpower types? Is there any need for this nonsense? If I wanted to be shown computer technology by someone paid to smile and with little or no computing knowledge i'd go hang out in PC world.

    Talking

apart from PC related truth and help, last time i checked part of HEXUS was PC related entertainment and humour, not P.C. soulless...

though each to their own, i guess...

It's not just computer expo's that have the 'babes' though, theyre everywhere. Half of the engineering shows I've been to have them.

Whilst i agree its quite sad, a bit of eye candy at an otherwise boring expo is sometimes appreciated.

Whether or not a hottie will push sales up, i doubt it...

They're always bloomin' Asian too, not into them

well as long as the boys are happy.

btw i'm far from PC (not that the term actually means anything).

Also hexus if hexus is about entertainment and humour isn't it also for woman? How many woman do you think find booth babes light entertainment, i'd suggest at best most just ignore it as idiotic nonsense or actually feel quite pis$ed about it.

technoolgy is a male oriented market. So young attractive women are used to try and boost sales. In female oriented markets, young toned men are used to boost sales. Just the way it works.

Hexus, doesn't control how companies advertise, but a tongue in cheek look at booth babes is fine by me. Womens magazines do exactly the same.

Ah yes I can't go near hair and beauty expo's without bumping into some himbo in a pair of swimming trunks.

    oh wait...

and even if this was the case it would still be insulting, not least to the intelligence of the attending women.

also shouldn't we be aiming to make technology less male orientated?

As i mentioned many mainstream gaming expo's have banned booth babes as they are wary of alienating the growing female gamer demagraphic.

oh btw just so you know, but your avatar is the SS death skull, not that your a nazi (it's ended up in mainstream use somehow) just to let you know that it's roots aren't pleasant, just to be PC like.
